Gamma Spectrometry

Gamma spectrometry locates and traces natural radioactive emissions of the so-called gamma rays. Radiometric measurements provide information on the concentration of K, U and Th in rocks and soils in the Earth’s surface, and are a useful tool for geological mapping and the study of geochemical behavior of an area.

Air gamma spectrometry provides fast and efficient regional mappings, providing additional information to geological maps. They are also able to report the presence of uranium directly, causing the discovery of new deposits and, moreover, help in the location of mineral deposits related to hydrothermal changes.

Microsurvey has spectrometers of 1024 channels, the highest resolution in the market, always ensuring the best data to our client.
